Spain's economy logged a steady growth in the third quarter, flash data from the statistical office INE revealed Wednesday.
Gross domestic product expanded 0.6 percent sequentially, the same pace of growth as seen in the first and second quarters of 2018.
Likewise, annual growth remained unchanged at 2.5 percent in the third quarter.
The breakdown of expenditure side showed that both household spending and government consumption advanced at faster rates of 0.6 percent and 0.8 percent from last quarter, respectively.
Meanwhile, growth in gross fixed capital formation eased to 1 percent from 3.5 percent.
At the same time, exports decreased 1.8 percent and imports slid 1.2 percent from preceding quarter.
Given the political issues and the weaker external environment, the Spanish economy will slow, Steven Trypsteen, an ING economist said.
