Spain's consumer prices increased at a steady pace again in September, preliminary data from INE showed Friday.
Inflation came in at 2.2 percent for the third straight meeting in September, also in line with expectations.
EU harmonized inflation also remained stable in September, at 2.2 percent. However, the rate was expected to rise to 2.3 percent.
On month, consumer prices gained 0.2 percent, the same rate as seen in August 2017 and matched economists' expectations.
At the same time, the harmonized index of consumer prices climbed 0.6 percent in September, slower than the expected 0.7 percent.
