The manufacturing sector in South Korea moved to expansion in September, the latest survey from Nikkei revealed on Monday with a manufacturing PMI score of 51.3.
That's up from 49.9 in August, and it moves above the boom-or-bust line of 50 that separates expansion from contraction.
Individually, the modest rise in production was the strongest increase since November.
Employment growth accelerated to a five-and-a-half year high. Business confidence improved marginally but continued to be weak.
