Slovenia's industrial production accelerated in August, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia reported Wednesday.
Industrial production grew by 6.9 percent on year in August from a 5.8 percent rise in July.
On a monthly basis, industrial output expanded to 2 percent in August, compared to a 0.3 gain last month.
The mining and quarrying grew by 5.3 percent, manufacturing went up by 2.0 percent and electricity, gas and steam supply rose by 1.9 percent during the month.
Among main industrial groupings, industrial activity in consumer goods industries was up by 7.8 percent, while the intermediate goods industries were almost the same in August. Meanwhile, industrial activity in capital goods industries fell by 4.8 percent.
