At 4.30 am ET Monday, UK CIPS/Markit services PMI is due. The index is forecast to drop to 53.4 in October from 53.9 in September.
Ahead of the data, the pound traded mixed against its major rivals. While the pound retreated against the greenback, it held steady against the yen, the franc and the euro.
The pound 1.3005 was worth against the greenback, 147.18 against the yen, 1.3058 against the franc and 0.8757 against the euro as of 4:25 am ET.
