Poland's unemployment rate eased slightly in September, after holding steady in the previous two months, to its lowest level in nearly three decades, preliminary data from Statistics Poland showed on Tuesday.
The registered unemployment rate fell to 5.7 percent from 5.8 percent in June, July and August. Economists had expected the rate to remain unchanged again.
The jobless rate was the lowest since October 1990, when it was 5.5 percent.
The number of registered unemployed was 947,400 persons in September, the statistical office said.
