Norway's unemployment rate rose slightly in July, the labor force survey from Statistics Norway showed Wednesday.
The jobless rate rose to 4 percent in July from 3.8 percent in April. The expected rate was 3.8 percent.
The rate for July indicates average for June to August and April reflects March to May period.
The number of unemployed increased by 8,000 from April. But this change was within the labor force survey margin of error, the statistical office said.
At the same time, employment increased by 14,000 from April, also within the LFS error margin.
