Malta's industrial production increased in August after declining in the previous month, preliminary data from the National Statistics Office showed on Tuesday.
The industrial production index rose a working-day adjusted 1.5 percent year-on-year, partially reversing a 6.1 percent slump in July. The pace of growth was the weakest since January.
Capital goods output increased 4.6 percent and production of consumer goods grew 0.3 percent, led by a 11.3 jump in the manufacture of durable goods.
On a seasonally adjusted basis, industrial production grew a seasonally-adjusted 9.2 percent in August after a 5.8 percent fall in July.
