Luxembourg's consumer price inflation accelerated further in September, driven by higher prices of fuel and electricity, preliminary data from the statistical office STATEC showed on Wednesday.
The consumer price index rose 2.01 percent year-on-year following 1.62 percent in August. The inflation figure has been rising since May, when it was 1.33 percent.
Core inflation gained 0.3 percentage points to reach 1.3 percent.
Compared to the previous month, the CPI rose 0.23 percent in September following a 1.36 percent increase in August. Prices climbed for a second straight month after a fall in July.
