Latvia's trade deficit narrowed in August from July, data from the Central Statistical Bureau showed Wednesday.
The trade deficit fell to EUR 395 million from EUR 405.6 million in the previous month. In the same period last year, the shortfall was EUR 291.7 million.
On a monthly basis, exports climbed 2.9 percent and imports gained 1.8 percent in August.
Year-on-year, exports moved up 7.8 percent in August. At the same time, imports logged a double-digit growth of 14 percent.
