Latvia's economy expanded the most in nearly two years during the third quarter, preliminary data from the Central Statistical Bureau showed on Tuesday.
Gross domestic product rose a seasonally and calendar-adjusted 1.8 percent from the second quarter, when the economy expanded 1.2 percent.
The pace of growth was the fastest since the fourth quarter of 2016, when the economy expanded at the same rate.
On a calendar and non-adjusted basis, GDP grew 4.8 percent year-on-year after a 5.3 percent increase in the second quarter.
The upward pressure on the GDP value was exerted by the output increase in construction, retail trade and industry, the statistical office said.
