Ireland's manufacturing output rebounded strongly in August after falling in the previous month, at the fastest pace in nearly two years, preliminary figures from the Central Statistics Office showed on Friday.
Manufacturing output grew 13.4 percent year-on-year following a 5.2 percent decline in July. The latest growth was the fastest since October 2016.
On a month-on-month basis, manufacturing output increased 8.8 percent in August after a 2.5 percent rise in July.
Overall industrial production grew 13.3 percent from a year ago after a 4.8 percent slump in July.
Compared to the previous month, industrial production rose 7.9 percent following a 2.1 percent increase.
