India's industrial production grew at a slower pace in August, figures from the Central Statistics Office showed Wednesday.
Industrial production climbed 4.3 percent annually compared to 6.5 percent increase in July and 4.8 percent in the same period last year.
Manufacturing output showed an annual growth of 4.6 percent and electricity output advanced 7.6 percent. Meanwhile, mining shrank 0.4 percent.
During April to August period, industrial production expanded 5.5 percent from the corresponding period of previous year.
