Finland's unemployment rate in September was the lowest in nearly seven years, preliminary data from Statistics Finland showed on Tuesday.
The jobless rate for the 15-74 age group fell to 6.3 percent from 6.8 percent in August. The figure was the lowest since November 2011, when it was 6.2 percent.
The number of unemployed shrunk by 44,000 persons year-on-year to 170,000. Employment grew by 72,000 persons to 2.53 million.
The youth jobless rate, which applies to the 15-24 age group, was 14.2 percent, which was 2.8 percentage points lower than a year ago.
