European equity futures mostly higher to kick off the session
Elsewhere, China's Shanghai Composite and CSI 300 indices both ended the day higher by 0.3%. The Shanghai Composite index ends the year at 3,307.17 - higher on the year by 6.6%. Meanwhile, the CSI 300 index ends the year at 4,030.85 - higher on the year
