The U.S. GDP data for the third quarter, durable goods orders and personal income and spending data for November are set for release at 8:30 am ET Friday. The greenback traded mixed against its major counterparts before these data. While the greenback held steady against the yen, it rose against the rest of major rivals.
The greenback was valued at 111.26 against the yen, 1.1408 against the euro, 1.2648 against the pound and 0.9916 against the franc as of 8:25 am ET.
