Czech Inflation Slows Slightly In October

Czech inflation eased marginally in October, the Czech Statistical Office reported Friday.

Consumer prices climbed 2.2 percent year-on-year in October, slightly slower than the 2.3 percent rise in September. The annual rate was forecast to remain at 2.3 percent.

The deceleration was largely driven by food and non-alcoholic beverages in October. Prices of goods and services climbed 1.7 percent and 3.2 percent, respectively. Excluding imputed rentals for housing, consumer prices advanced 1.9 percent.

Month-on-month, consumer prices gained 0.4 percent in October, as expected.
