Croatia's unemployment rate eased for a seventh month in a row in August, preliminary data from the Croatian Bureau of Statistics showed Wednesday.
The registered unemployment rate dropped to 8.5 percent from 8.6 percent in July. The rate has been easing since January, when it was at 12.5 percent.
A year ago, the jobless rate was 10.6 percent.
Separately, the statistical office reported that the average monthly net earnings per person decreased a real 0.2 percent month-on-month in July.
Gross earnings dropped 0.1 percent from the previous month.
On a year-on-year basis, net earnings rose 2.9 percent in July and gross earnings grew 3.6 percent.
