Bulgaria's industrial production grew at a faster rate in August, led by manufacturing, preliminary data from the National Statistical Institute showed on Tuesday.
Industrial production rose 2.3 percent year-on-year after a 0.9 percent increase in July. Output grew for a fourth month running.
Manufacturing output increased 5 percent, while mining and quarrying production fell 17.4 percent. Utility sector output shrunk 2.2 percent.
Compared to the previous month, industrial production rose 0.8 percent in August after falling 1.2 percent in July. Manufacturing output grew 1.6 percent.
