Proposals mostly dropped
Over the past few months, the Canadian government floated a few ideas designed to close tax loopholes.
In short, everyone was incorporating because lower corporate tax rates and dividend rules made it easy to dodge income taxes. In addition, everyone was using their corporation to pay their kids or spouses who were working.
