Austria's production index, which combines industry and construction, rose at a much slower annual pace in August, figures from Statistics Austria showed Thursday.
The production index rose 2.8 percent year-on-year following a revised 5 percent increase in July, which was originally reported as a 4.8 percent rise.
Industrial output expanded 2.2 percent from the same period last year and construction output grew by 5.2 percent.
On a monthly basis, overall production slumped 1.4 percent in August after falling 0.1 percent in the previous month.
