The Northern Territory (I know, not a state) has lifted its ban on fracking
- expected that exploration will begin early next year
- full scale production will take longer ... before production approvals are granted, strategic regional environmental and baseline assessments must be conducted. Those assessments are expected to take about three years to complete.
